Abigail Kevil (team Captain) presented the certificate to Mr Mason with other members of the team present - Candice Brennan, Edward Shaw, Jack Winstanley, Aaron Foy, Georgia Powell, Max Meyers, Adam McGuire, Callum Porter.

In addition to the great work the club are doing in the schools, one of the young players has taken it upon himself to raise money for a playing kit for the team, he has written letters to many people in the area including Brian Noble and Steve McCormack, coaches of Wigan and Widnes respectively. The picture below shows 9yr old Edward Shaw receiving a autographed match ball from Steve McCormack. It is Edward’s intention to raffle the ball to raise money to put it towards the cost of kit for his team. He is still awaiting a response from Brian Noble. If you think you can help the New Spring Legion Lions U10 team in anyway then please contact the team coach, Dave Price on 01942 702080 or thavilpricey@blueyonder.co.uk or alternatively contact Edward’s Mum Sharon Shaw who is also the team first aider on 01942 494874 or little.min@blueyonder.co.uk.
